Triple Release Mania!!

Although I usually have (too) much to say, due to the lack of food while wrapping up QC, the only thing I’ve got the energy to say right now is that I love my team. We’ve had a few additions recently: Staub and littlekasino. (Two very entertaining people.) and byte, whom I’ve yet to know more about. Plus we’ve got a few more projects coming along the way in March, so we hope you give us a visit again next month.

I feared we wouldn’t make it this month, but thanks to our wonderful Heels’ staff, we’ve pulled through with a triple release.

Please follow the link on the right-side panel to our “forum” to download, and I hope you’ll enjoy them as much as I did.

Excuses to avoid a lynching

I had high expectations for December, but my health failed me and plans went awry (as you can probably tell from the nearly 1 and 1/2 month silence.). While 2 gbs of my iomega were bloated with chapters that needed to be translated, edited, and QC’ed, I had three blankets and a duvet and two mackarel tabbies piled on top of me, with only two eyes glaring out myopically at the 19″ inch screen a meter away projecting re-runs of Gaki no Tsukai episodes my father had taped in the late ’90s.

With the return of my sanity the other day comes the revival of those high expectations. The only difference is the team’s actually got something to show for it right now.

Yes, yes, we’re kicking off the new year releases with Sukimasuki Chapter 7. Can’t get enough of Heisaku and Fumio? Click here!

For those of you who were unsure of how to view Chapter 6.
Where it says “Showing 1 of 1 topics sorted by, click on the [blue] arrow after “the last 30 days” and change to “from the beginning.” This should show all the posts made since the beginning.

Hope that helps!

Who keeps their manga in Moët & Chandon?

My mother loves wine, so a friend of ours will send her boxes of them, and I love the boxes, so she gives them to me, and I buy comics to put them in, and the friend of ours will occasionally stop by to read them… It’s a viciously expensive cycle.

Anyway, I had some time Sunday morning to drag out all these wine boxes, and I’ve chosen the cream of the crop for Stiletto Heels. At least the ones that seem to be collecting dust on other people’s wishlists. Click here if you want to take a look/want to tell me I’m nuts for choosing them/generous with time to help out.

We are looking for editors and/or cleaners and typesetters. Please pm me at the forum or message here if you’re interested, or know of any interested folks.

As far as updating the website goes, I’ve been a big-time slacker. Biggest excuse being that my older brother has snipped my only means of getting internet access at home, so I’m forced to work offline most of the time. The forum is constantly being updated though, so that’s the best place you can reach me at.

Upcoming December releases:
- Heart o Uchinomese! Volume 1, Chapter 5
- Futago Volume 1, Chapter 2
- Heibon Ponch Volume 1, Chapter 1
- Himawari (Ueno Ai) Story 1
- Sukimasuki Chapter 7

Stay tuned!

“The other side is like fiction”

I’m afraid we have to enforce new and annoying policies on you poor readers for reasons you may or may not understand. We’ll be holding the new downloads hostage on the (bare and naked) forum for 3 days before releasing on the website.

Want the new Sukimasuki release? Head here.

Nausea and Release

Wasn’t me this time (I’ve learned my lesson), but our Sukimasuki editor, Nightswan (though her sickness might be more legit than mine). I’m not sure I like this new trend for our Heels’ staff, but at least the readers are benefiting from it because Sukimasuki Chapter 5 is up for grabs:

Here, of course.

And while I’m at it, let me also take this opportunity to formerly introduce two extremely bizarre seinen projects we’ve picked up along the way:

(drum roll please)

First up,
Heibon Ponch, by George Asakura

and last but not least,
Moteki, by Mitsurou Kubo

For summaries of the projects, please head to our upcoming section. :)

Ode to the tainted meatloaf.

” The leftovers in the fridge smelled a little weird, but you went ahead and ate them.”
- Check.
” You were so hungry, you didn’t even heat them up.”
- Check
” A couple of hours later, though, you started to feel sick.”
- Check
“Powerful waves of pain rumbled through your stomach. They went away, but not for long.”
- Check
“Then you even threw up!”
- And check!

Sorry folks who were expecting either Sukimasuki or Heart o Uchinomese! I was at home recovering from a case of stupidity. However, rumor has it that you won’t be waiting too long.

We do, however, have a release today for those of you of curious mind. This will be our first chapter release of Futago (Twins) from one of my favorite mangakas, Iketani Ricaco.

No harm in trying a chapter out, right?

Come on, you know you want to!

The cries got loud enough

So I decided to have my say.

I’ve felt abysmally guilty over not making the time to look for an appropriate host server and leaving some readers wringing their hands in frustration over mediafire throwing a fit. Since I can’t visually apologize to you, I’ve hired substitutes:

Apology aside, I’m in a bit of a head-lock situation here: There’s just too much going on for me right now, and I don’t have much free time as I used to. However, I have uploaded mirrors to all the files on divshare. It’s the best I can do for now with my slim wallet and an impending (and very expensive) wedding (not mine) coming up on November 28.

Feel free to thwap me my other staff members on the head if you find any broken links. The harder, the better (haha).

All good things come in pairs

And with that said, we’re dropping off the second half of the mother load.

More Sukimasuki? Who wouldn’t?

ROUND FOUR

I chopped off all my hair. Or to be more precise, I had the lady at the salon chop off all my hair, or most of it: which wasn’t really much anyway. Afterwards, craning my neck this way and that, I looked at myself in the mirror and only one word came to mind: Mushroom.

Rust and Release

Coming out of the office building to grab my coat from the car, I realized – car keys dangling midair – that there was orange rust coming out of the spokes in my tires and seeping onto the parking lot. I paused for a good long second before jamming my arms into my coat arms and trudging over the wet grass to get back inside.

So you see, despite all the neglect of the necessary things in life, we still worked on to release. We hope you enjoy it. And we only ask one small favor, that you don’t begrudge us of the small mistakes (if any).

Click me, please!

(p.s.) Seems like the first batch of dl’ers got the incomplete credit page, which I’ve only got the chance to change right now. Many apologies! >< !
