Don’t make me hurt you!

Guys (and gals), I hate to do this, but I’m seeing Heart o Uchinomese! and Sukimasuki releases pop up all over the place not even a day after it’s been released! It’s not cool with me. Hosting sites that have gone to the trouble of asking for permission have to wait 4 days, and I don’t think it’s fair that those of you who haven’t even asked permission aren’t following the team request.

I don’t want to shut down hosting, because that would make me a big meanie, so please respect the rules.

Thank youuuuu~
(Just an f.y.i. Don’t worry, the only thing I’d actually hurt would be a fly, but let’s try not to tempt me.)

Oh, no, not another one!

…is probably something I’ll never hear fly from your lips. And if it does? (cracks knuckles)

We’ve really got to hand it to our speed demon editor for wrapping the chapter up so quickly despite suffering from a nasty cold. (Thank you, Nightswan!) All the crazy members ( I can already hear Mizi protesting to the word ‘crazy’) of the Heels’ team wishes you well, and I’m sure the readers do too.

Where can you get the download, you say?

You know the drill. :)

ROUND THREE

“I said I wanted milk with my cookies!”

What does this have anything to do with manga, you say? Abso-fluffin’-lutely nothing. And what can you do about it? Nothing!

I’ve been trying to get my ears used to the thai language (my father thinks it imperative that we embrace our culture and language, and feels it unfair that the only language I speak besides English is broken Japanese with my mother), so for the past few days I’ve been struggling through my sister’s Huk Liam Phra-karn DVD, a lakorn (or thai drama) following a grungy, foul-mouthed undercover cop named Khom (Num Sornram Theppitak) who infiltrates the abode of a very powerful and very influential druglord (Jukkrit Ummarat) in order to expose his drug trafficking scheme. However, against his better judgement, Khom falls in love with the druglord’s vivacious and feisty daughter, Mina (Joy-Rinalee Sripehn), who seems to come equipped by default with a fluffy pomeranian, slapping flip-flop sandals and an array of handbags.

I’m no lesbian, but Joy-Rinalee is an absolute pleasure to watch as the spoiled, naive rich man’s daughter, and so are her petty arguments with Khom:

Mina: ” Would it kill you to just say please for once?”
Khom: ” Can you direct me to where your father is, puhhhh-lease? (pause) Doesn’t look like I’m dead yet. Just didn’t want to say it.”

Num, for as much as I loved his clean-shaven, knotted-cravat, obocchama look in Barn Sai Tong (House of Sand) seems more convincing as a thug with his beard and unbuttoned jacket-sleeves:

Khom (with his beard) and Mina

Anyway – woops! haha – I guess I’ve just given myself away. You’ve probably figured out exactly what had caused me to take my sweet time with this release. I could just sheepishly throw my hands into the air and say, ” Oh, well, too bad for you guys!” and run off, but that would make me a total bully.

So, to make up for lost time, I locked myself in my room after work for a week, deprived myself of tv and sleep, and finished Heart o Uchinomese! Chapter 3.

Enter the new dragon

And a dragon by any other name would not smell as sweet. (Insert sound snippet of Bruce Lee’s famous “waa-chaa!”)

Tonight we’re bringing you Sukimasuki Chapter 1, a new manga edition to the Stiletto Mafia Team. Yes, you’re right, it is a Seinen manga. And, no, you will not think I am insane for temporarily stapling bed sheets over my balcony doors after reading this chapter. Alas! Tis another month until I have enough dinero for some curtains.

For those expecting another installment of Heart o Uchinomese! don’t hold your breaths , you won’t have to wait much longer.  I admit, I’ve been clocking in 7 hours of sleep lately, and it’s made me lazy. But Chapter 3 is in the midst of editing, and you shall have your josei angst soon!

Head here for the release.

ROUND TWO

So a plate of fettucine and a steak burger later, I’ve managed to finish the second chapter. Only a mini-chapter release for now. (Sorry to disappoint.)

Freak out over Arai being weird here!

A thousand apologies…

My mother is leaving the country for a month, so I’ve been helping her pack for her trip. I know I said there would be a release tonight, but unfortunately I’ve still got 2 pages left to translate and typeset. I’m aiming for Monday night, but in a worst case scenario (my friends coming over for dinner), I’ll be releasing Tuesday night.

Thanks for all your patience. (And please don’t come after me with baseball bats.)

ROUND ONE

Boy is this guy clueless.

Anyway, I have not had more than four hours of sleep in a week just to bring you the first chapter of Knock Your Heart Out! by George Asakura, so I’ll make this short. Sorry to disappoint those of you expecting a long speech (yeah, right). I hope this chapter will do just what the title promises and knock your heart out.

‘Cause it sure did mine.

Grab it here!

Please support us by commenting on the release, for better or worse.

Update!

There seems to be a bit of a mix-up over where the scans for this project came from, and I’m still not entirely sure what in the world is going on. For the time being, as there is evidence pointing that these scans do indeed belong  to Lana777, we’d like to thank her for generously allowing us to continue to use her scans for the entire series.

Also, for those of the more nitpicky variety, I’ve also fixed some errors and reupped.

And another one bites the dust…

(RIP Oboreru Knife.)

After the economy took a nosedive, lots of things happened, and Stilletto decided to go on hiatus for a few months, so I had no choice but to step in.

penniless

We’ve adopted Sukima Suki, by Unita Yumi, and we’re reviving our first project, Knock Your Heart Out! , by George Asakura (at least until we know more about what will become of the CPM licenses). We’re in the midst of typesetting, so please bear with us for the time being.
